Perfect Livin home expo has returned with irresistible deals.

Capitalising on the long weekend, the three-day event, which kicked off at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, boasts 250 booths with over 100 brands.

Star Media Group Bhd general manager Jason Yap said being the first home expo in 2021, visitors could expect the best deals from exhibitors.

“We are not only offering complete home solutions and designs to spruce up homes, but also the latest trends and ideas for makeovers.

“Understanding the need to strictly adhere to the Government’s standard operating procedures (SOP), we worked hand in hand with Mid Valley management to ensure the safety of both visitors and exhibitors.

“This includes temperature screening, ensuring all visitors and exhibitors scan the QR Code on the MySejahtera app as well as limiting the number of visitors in each hall,” he said.

“We are also starting the year strong with back-to-back expos nationwide.

“Next week, Perfect Livin is heading to Spice Arena in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The event will take place from Jan 8 to 10.

“Additionally, our very own Star Education Fair will be held at the same venue on Jan 9 and 10,” he elaborated.

Minutes before the expo started, visitors formed a long queue outside the exhibition hall.

Nurse Aini Aqilah Johari, 28, came with her husband Mohd Nur Azri Mohd Sabri, 33, in search of renovation ideas and to source for a complete range of products for their new house in Kota Warisan, Sepang.

“Perfect Livin is really a one-stop centre for new house owners like us as we can find all the furniture we need at affordable prices.

“There is a full range of items like wardrobe, kitchen appliances and mattresses.

“Due to the movement control order, I have not shopped at a home expo for months. So I am glad to be here,” she said.

“It is also comfortable to shop here as it is not too crowded.

“The organiser has allowed sufficient space to enable physical distancing.

“We feel at ease here because strict guidelines are in place,” she added.

Meanwhile, exhibitors are putting up their best deals to attract customers.

Hoe Huat is offering a 45% discount on its LG 4K Ultra HD smart television, now retailing at RM12,599.

“We also have a special promotion on Bosch digital door locks as well as more than 50% off on our Teka kitchen hood and hob range,” said Hoe Huat general manager Gary Khoo.

Lady Americana (M) Sdn Bhd is offering a buy-one-free-one promotion for selected mattress models as well as discounts of up to 70% on other models.

“We are also giving out foldable mattresses and pillows to visitors who purchase our products, while stocks last,” said TJ Chew, the brand’s sales manager.

“There are purchase-with-purchase promotions too for bed frames,” Chew added.

Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers president Francis Teoh, who paid a visit to the expo, said the association had ensured event organisers followed the SOP thoroughly.

“If event organisers are not aware of the SOP, they can reach out to us for the guidelines.

“This is the new norm and all event organisers must follow the SOP,” he said.

Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau exhibitions sales manager Norisma Ismail said they would launch a promotional campaign to support the commercial market in the first quarter of the year.

“We are looking to promote local shows and exhibitions to boost the domestic market,” she said.
Perfect Livin is giving out plenty of goodies to visitors.

In the Register and Win contest, visitors who register themselves at the expo stand a chance of winning a Cuckoo Multi Cooker.

Those who spend a minimum of RM1,000 will get a guaranteed gift and are entitled to participate in a lucky dip to win extra prizes.
Each day, the first 500 registered visitors to Perfect Livin will get a Perfect Livin 2L Dry Bag for free.

The expo, which ends tomorrow, opens from 11am to 9pm.

Admission is free.
