Japanese lavatory tech on show

Chong says a range of products in the Toto Washlet series will be showcased at the Perfect Livin’ 20 expo from Dec 25 to 27.

Japan’s high-tech toilet-maker Toto is set to revolutionise the way we view lavatory comfort and hygiene through its high-tech bidet seat –- Washlet.

Washlet is a registered trademark of the company that integrates technology to cleanse toilet bowls and ensure the personal hygiene of users.

Eric Chong, who is sales manager (dealer section) for Malaysia’s sole agent of Toto products, said the brand had been consistently prioritising toilet function and design while advocating cleanliness.

“Toto’s pursuit of technology integration with a reliable product line-up has been its main focus, making it the brand’s unique selling point.

“Developed in 1980, Toto Washlet series is an electrical bidet seat that is commonly seen all around Japan and has sold 50 million units worldwide, ” he added.

Toto Washlet series will be showcased at the Perfect Livin ‘20 home expo in Mid Valley Exhibition Centre from Dec 25 to 27.

Its unique features include the toilet bowl’s rimless design that prevents the accumulation of waste and germs as well as the Tornado Flush that boosts thorough cleaning.

Meanwhile, the Premist function sprays a mist of water into the ceramic toilet bowl before use and Cefiontech is an ultra smooth water-repellent ceramic glaze that coats the toilet bowl.

Both features prevent waste, dirt and stain from accumulating.

“Toto toilet bowls are also equipped with a seat warmer function and an odoriser.

“The eWater+ technology is an electrolysed antibacterial liquid that is automatically sprayed into the toilet bowl after
flushing, to eliminate bacteria and sterilise the bidet nozzle, ” Chong explained.

Visitors to the expo are in for a treat as there will be a 50% discount on selected products in the Toto Washlet series.

The Toto products will be showcased by Bumhan Sanitary Wares Sdn Bhd, the authorised dealer for the brand.

Taking up two booths, Bumhan will also be showcasing a range of Haier kitchen hoods and hobs at the expo.

Haier’s kitchen hood comes with the Fisher and Paykel Direct Drive inverter motor for powerful suction and silent performance.

Haier Electrical Appliances (M) Sdn Bhd Kitchen Appliance sales manager Steve Lee said the magnetic motor reduced friction while operating and thus generated a strong airflow at 1,800m cube per hour.

“It produces minimal noise, making the cooking experience enjoyable.

“Meanwhile, the Haier hob series is equipped with an anti-dry technology that prevents burning of pots and pans.

“Its 8mm tempered glass also provides a sleek and durable finishing, ” he added.

A 43-inch LED television is up for grabs with the collective purchase of a Haier DD motor kitchen hood, anti-dry gas hob and a 76l seven-functions oven.

Each day, the first 500 registered visitors to the expo will receive a Perfect Livin 2L Dry Bag for free.

The expo opens from 11am to 9pm.
